Genre: romantic comedy.

Title: perfect favourite date

Setting:  stereotypical American high school.

Characters: Teenager female and Teenage male. Teachers, pupils and female characters parents.

Character names:

·      Main female role-Jennifer Williams

·      Main male role- Scott Turner

·      Teacher 1: Mr Adams

·      Pupil1 1: Rosie

·      Pupil 2: Tyrone

Mise en scene: casual clothing for main character, uniform for rest of cast.

INT. SCHOOL – ENTRANCE - MORNING

                        POV of Jennifer walking into school building, doors open in front of her. Jennifer approaches reception desk.

JENNIFER       (V.O.) Of course this isn’t how it starts. My name is Jennifer Williams; today is my first day at my new school, for about the hundredth time in the last five years. My parents move around a lot. You’d think that by now I wouldn’t be nervous, but I am.

                        Mr Adams hands Jennifer a bunch of books etc

MR Adams      “Welcome to Landau. Your locker number is 187A. Here’s everything you’ll need. Have fun!”

                        Mrs Collins exits abruptly, leaving Jennifer with her arms full of the things she’s been given.

JENNIFER                   (to herself, sarcastically) “Great.”

                        Jennifer looks around and the other pupils, all dressed in preppy uniform, stare at her.

Jennifer      (walks through school unaware of her surroundings, bumps into a very attractive young man and drops everything all over the floor)

           “Oh urm aha”

Scott Turner      (bends down to help pick up her stuff)

            (Picks up Jennifer’s belongings and hands them to her)

           “You’re the new girl aren’t you? I’m Scott,”

Jennifer      “Urm I’m Jennifer but everyone calls me Jenny for short.”

Scott          Well I’ll see you around

            Scott walks down the hall.

INT. SCHOOL – BY LOCKERS – MOMENTS LATER

                        Jennifer finds her locker after some confusion. She opens it and puts some of her books in, then closes it to see a girl (Rosie) leaning against the lockers, with two others (Amy and George) beside her.

ROSIE             Oh my God, are you the new girl?!

Jennifer            Urm yes.

ROSIE              Whats your name

JENNIFER        Jennifer but my friends call me jenny

ROSIE          Oh im Rosie and this is Tyrone.

Tyrone          Hi girl I like your shoes where are they from, JD? Nike? Addidas? They really suit you!

Jennifer          Urm
